PE
Purpose
Our children live in an ever-changing modern world, and as such, we ensure our curriculum evolves and keeps up to date with changes. PE in the National Curriculum strives to deliver a high-quality physical education curriculum inspiring all children to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. We provide opportunities for children to develop their confidence in a way that supports their health, mental health and fitness. These opportunities to compete in sports help build character and instil values such as fairness and respect. Our high quality of teaching in PE from EYFS through to Year 6, utilises skill lessons and competitive game situations designed to promote discussion, understanding and confidence.
We use the National Curriculum to guide our teaching and learning across the school.
